Q:I'm a retired employee. From the time of my retirement (2006) I've made monthly online payments towards my dental plan. Two months ago my dentist informed me the policy was terminated. I was never informed that the policy was terminated May 2007. They received 12 payments on a policy that don't exist. Can you direct me to the location where I can get some help?
A:You should contact your former employer’s HR Department to get this resolved. It’s possible that the employer switched dental carriers and failed to notify you of the change. If they will not help you then you should contact the US Department of Labor at 1-866-487-2365 to file a complaint.
