Q: ARE EMPLOYERS ABLE TO OFFER EMPLOYEES COBRA IF THE HAVE LESS THAN 20 EMPLOYEES? OR ARE THEY NOT ALLOWED TO?

A: If the company has less than 20 employees they are not subject to the federal law and they do not have to offer you a continuation of their group health plan. What you will want to do is contact your state department of insurance to see if there is a state issued mini-COBRA plan that you can take advantage of.
