Q: I am currently covered by the Oman Insurance Company based in the Middle East, and my company is owned by a Dubai based employer, where I work full time for the last 10 years in the United Arab Emirates. We have over 400 employees. I am leaving in August to return to the US permanently. Can I get COBRA coverage?

A: COBRA is a US federal law.  Only US employers must comply with them.  If you do not have your health insurance through an employer that pays US taxes then COBRA is not an option.  If you are interested in a more affordable Alternative to COBRA, Click Here for more information.
