Q:  I only need to be covered between jobs, can my coverage be prorated?? I only need to be covered from Aug 19 to Sept 7.

 

A:  Generally, your monthly payments are going to cover you for the full 30 days. Most COBRA payments are not prorated. All payment decisions are based on how and when the employer pays the insurance company. You have the right to cancel your COBRA coverage at any time.
