Q:  My coverage from my job I believe went through 3/31/09 and I start my new job 4/6/09 and that insurance doesn't kick in for 90 days. Do I need Cobra for the 90 days?

A:  COBRA is a continuation of your previous insurance through your previous employer.   If you wish to continue your coverage until your next insurance would kick in, you need to contact the HR of your previous employee and request a COBRA packet.  If the premiums you feel would be to expensive, and you have no pre-existing conditions you can also look into a short term medical plan until the new insurance is available.
