Q:  I was let go last 10/31/08. Cobra at that time was something I couldn’t afford. With the stimulus package I read, I thought it said that my previous employer would pay part of my cobra. I would like clarification on this & to find out what I might be able to do at this time.

A:  To see if you are still eligible for COBRA you need to contact your past employer for information.  To see if the stimulus package will affect your COBRA benefits you should call the Federal Department of Labor at 866-444-3272 or visit www.dol.gov
