Q:  I asked this yesterday and did not really receive an answer so I'm going to ask it in a different way. I was laid off in December and informed by my employer, that I would be receiving Cobra, however I never got the paperwork. It's now been over 60 days so I am wondering if it's too late to apply and if not where can I get the correct paperwork. Please let me know as soon as you can. Thank you so much.

A:  When you lost your job if there was 20 or more employees Cobra may have been an option.   By law your employer had 45 days to send you information regarding the Cobra.  If you never received the paper work you need to contact your employer to see if you are still eligible or if because the 60 day period has passed if you can no longer enroll.
