Q: I have a employee that will be on workers' comp disability for 3 months. this would result in a lost or reduction of hours. must he be put into cobra to maintain his health insurance,  Is there a waiting period of 30 or 60 days or would this be immediate.

A:  An employee doesn't qualify for COBRA until they are no longer on Workers Compensation and also no longer qualify for the group health insurance.
