Q:    Does a FMLA leave qualify me for COBRA?

A:    The notice of a leave taken under the FMLA does not constitute as a qualifying event for COBRA, unless the employee fails to return to work at the end of the FMLA leave. During a FMLA leave, employees are entitled to the same level and coverage of health benefits as before taking leave. You may need to speak to your Human Resource Dept for further information.
