Q:  I retired at age 63 and can get my health insurance through the VA. Can my wife get a COBRA policy through my company without me being on it?

A:  Your wife can be covered by Cobra, even though you’re not going to take the coverage.  She is still eligible to enroll through your previous employers group health plan and be under Cobra coverage.
