Q:  What about domestic partners?

A:  Domestic partners are generally not eligible for Cobra.  However, if the employer allowed domestic partners on a group plan you may be eligible for the Cobra coverage.  Yet the domestic partner may not be subject to the subsidy, the partner who was the one employed may be eligible for the subsidy.  The subsidy would only apply to the employee, not the domestic partner.
