Q:  I was just in a bad car accident and the police are still investigating the accident. I’ve been currently wearing a neck brace and driving in a rental. Even though there was no one to blame yet for the accident I have to pay the $500.00 deductible. I am strapped for cash and do I have to pay right away to receive coverage since my insurance for United Heath Care was canceled on 02.28.2009. Please help me and let me know

A:  It depends on who your insurance carrier is, you are going to need to speak with them directly as to what your claims for your insurance are.  I am sure with most insurance carriers you can set up a payment plan, and not pay it all at once.  My recommendation to you is to contact your provider directly, on the back of your insurance card should be a contact number, and speak with them about your payment options.
