Q:  If the company I work for stops paying for my insurance I currently have, can I apply for COBRA. Also, if the company I work for files bankruptcy can I apply for Cobra. Thanks

A:  If your company no longer offers health insurance to its employees, therefore there is no longer a group health plan, than Cobra is not an option.  To be eligible for Cobra there has to be more than 20 employees and a health insurance plan in force for you to continue on.  If the company goes bankrupt and closes and cancels there group health plan, Cobra unfortunately is not going to be an option.  We are a provider of Cobra information and Alternative Solutions.   We are not affiliated with Cobra.  If you would like a free quote on what we have to offer feel free to CLICK HERE or you may contact me directly 877-279-7959 ex 219 with any future questions you may have.
