Q:I was informed yesterday that I no longer have health coverage. I have been on disability because of a kidney surgery. I have a procedure on Thursday. Will the procedure be covered? I have not received a packet yet.
A:If your company has more than 20 employees and there is still a group health plan in force, Cobra should be an option to you.You would need to speak with your past employer to verify with them that Cobra is an option and how to get the ball rolling and get yourself enrolled into the Cobra coverage to be sure that you are going to have coverage.
