Q:  Does Cobra automatically charge a monthly bill or do I need to submit a credit card payment monthly? And if so, how? Also, once I obtain insurance from my employer how do I cancel Cobra?

 

A:  To my knowledge you would need to send in a monthly payment, you would however have to discuss that with your Cobra administrator, the person handling your benefits, and ask them how you can make your payments.  To cancel your Cobra coverage you would either stop paying your premiums, and obviously that would cancel your coverage or you would tell your Cobra administrator you no longer need the coverage.
