Q:  If a couple is getting divorced and the husband starts a new job which covers him under a new insurance company and policy, but denies the wife for a pre-existing condition, is she eligible for COBRA?  She was covered under the husband's insurance when he had his last job. But when he started the new job, he applied for coverage for both and she was denied.

A:  If you have been denied, (which I am not sure as to why you would be) I would recommend speaking to the past employer that your husband previously worked for.  Ask them if you are still able to enroll into Cobra, Cobra would be a continuation of those benefits you had when he was working there.
