Q:Hi, I’m thinking of switching companies and I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant. This is my first time dealing with Cobra and I need to know what my next step would be as I can not afford not to have insurance. How do I find out the cost?
A:If your Company has more than 20 employees, you need to speak to your HR Department and ask them for a Cobra packet.Cobra is a continuation of the exact same Insurance you have now when you are working.I would recommend talking with them to get the information you need, due to the fact that is the only coverage you are eligible for until you get a new job that offers group health insurance while you are pregnant.
