Q: I am a US citizen who worked in Canada for a year. I was covered under Ontario’s provincial health care system while I worked. Now that I am coming back to the States, am I eligible for Cobra Insurance.

A:  COBRA is a US federal law that requires an employer to provide continuation of their group health insurance to an employee and/or their dependents when a qualifying event has occurred.  Since you did not have an employer’s group health plan then you are not eligible for COBRA continuation coverage.
