Q: My employer has failed to send me cobra paperwork after my resignation. I have called them twice and have yet to receive any help. Can you tell me any other resources I can use to get the paper work I need? We just needed coverage for the month of March.

A: Your employer has a total of 45 days from the qualifying event to get your COBRA notification to you.  From the date that you get your notification, you have 60 days to elect coverage. If your employer can not answer your questions or does not comply, you can call the Department of Labor at 1-866-487-2365
