Q: I am 16 weeks pregnant and just got married less than 30 days ago. My husbands insurance will cost us $6,000 once I am on his. Is there a cheaper plan for me through cobra?
A: If you were on your employer's group health plan and left that job or your hours were reduced you may be eligible for COBRA. COBRA is a continuation of an empoyer's group health plan. You should contact your previous employer to see if you are eligible If you were not on an employer's group health plan then COBRA is not an option for you.
