Q:  The place I work is moving and I will be let go, my wife is pregnant so I need to keep her on our insurance untill after the baby is born. Can I just put her on Cobra and if so should this reduce what I pay for Cobra Covrage?

A:  On the election form (that you will get from your employer) you will be able to elect who you want to continue the COBRA coverage.  The employee does not have to accept COBRA coverage for themselves to get their spouse or dependent children covered under COBRA continuation.
