Q: I was on cobra insurance from a job that I was laid off from. My husband got insurance for us both at his job but was laid off after 1 month of coverage. Can I go back to my cobra, which was good until March of 2008 at which time my 18 months would have been used. My husband can’t get cobra because there was less then 20 employees.

A: Once you cancel your COBRA continuation, you will not be able to get it back. Since your husband's employer has less than 20 employees you may want to see if your state offers a min-COBRA. You find information on your state’s department of insurance at www.naic.org
