Which benefits are COBRA covered?

Q: My old employer offered COBRA on my health insurance but not on my life (100% company paid), dental (offered a plan but was 100% employee covered). Is this legal? A: COBRA is a continuation of health insurance or any benefit that is considered “Medical Care”. This would include dental, vision and prescription drugs. The beneficiary is now responsible for paying the entire cost of this insurance plus a 2% administrative fee. Group life insurance and disability insurance are not subject to COBRA law.
