American Rescue Plan Act of 2021’s COBRA Subsidy Ends September 31. What’s next?

Contracted Rates increasing?

ody Q: I was under the impression that insurance obtained through cobra was to be the same rates that was offered before cobra, that is, that my insurance rates would not go up or that my copay’s and the like would be the exact same as I had. Should I contact my insurance company and ask about this? My co-pays and coinsurance have been the same while under cobra this last year (as i was told they would be) but I just received a new book from the insurance stating that my co-pays and coinsurance was going up in my plan. I was under the impression that I was to have the same plan with no payment changes for the 36 months that I obtained my insurance through cobra. Is this a normal circumstance? Or is there a mistake from the insurance company?

Short-Term Health Insurance is popular and available in most states to cover gaps between major medical plans.

These plans also cover COVID-19 hospitalization. After deductibles and coinsurance, many plans will have $1 million in coverage.
