Coverage when eligible for medicare

ody Q: I was covered under my wife’s CIGNA group medical insurance. I applied for Medicare part A at age 65. I did not elect part B yet, because I was covered under the group policy. My wife was laid off from her job. We continued paying our COBRA premiums. We assumed that our health coverage would remain the same. CIGNA is now denying claims submitted by my doctors under the Cobra plan. They state that I am covered under Medicare even though I do not have Part B. What is the correct policy?
