American Rescue Plan Act of 2021’s COBRA Subsidy Ends September 31. What’s next?

If I have a Pre-exsting condition and my COBRA is running out, what are my options?

Q: I presently have Cobra insurance. My husband passed away 13 months ago and my cobra will be running out soon. I am having a terrible time trying to find insurance since I have diabetes. What can I do or why am I being told that NO ONE will insure me with diabetes. A: If you have COBRA insurance because the death of your husband was the qualifying event, you should have the continuation for a period of up to 36 months . If that is not the case and you only have continuation for up to 18 months, you may want to contact your state Department of Insurance. There may be a state issued plan that could work for you. You can visit their web site at href=”https://www.naic.org/ www.naic.org for more information and a list of state specific phone numbers. We do offer a discount program that may benefit you. It is not insurance but will give you discounts on services given by selected providers. For more information visit href=”https://www.benicard.com/ www.benicard.com
