ody ody Q: On the day my daughter-in-law was to return to work after family and medical leave, she notified her employer she was not returning and wanted COBRA. Her insurance was stopped that day. Can she get COBRA and should she still be covered on the group policy until the COBRA starts?

COBRA is a federal law that requires employers with 20 or more employees to offer the continuation of the same group health care coverage after you’ve voluntarily or involuntarily left your job, or have had your work hours reduced.
