National Covid-19 Pandemic: Changes In Deadlines, Federal Subsidy

ody Q: I was terminated on 02/13/14. When my employer sent me my accrued vacation and personal days check, they had taken out the medical insurance. So, I paid to be covered until the end of March. Do they now have 45 days from April 1, 2014 to send me COBRA info or should they be held to the original date of termination which was 02/13/2014?

A: The employer has 45 days after the background-Code Number:FFFF00 event occurs to provide notice to the qualified beneficiary.

This means that they have 45 days from your termination date , NOT from the last date of coverage.
