Q: I have Premeria and secodnary BC with my husband’s job. What would be the reason to get COBRA? BC and P don’t coordinate benefits, secondary has never paid due to this. I’m paying out of pocket with Primera, and not with his insurance (not even my deductible has been paid). This is a huge financial problem for us. I live in Wash. state. Is it a complete waste of money, since secondary would be primary either way? As long as I have the secondary that is current, I could just sign up again during open enrollment correct for my carrier or depending or even when I come back if possible? What would the high premium COBRA do for me in this situation?
