ody Q: My husband got laid off from his job. We had health coverage through the employer. We have not received anything regarding COBRA coverage. When my husband contacted the HR department they stated that they didn’t have 50 employees but when my husband was hired and laid off they had over 300 employees. Is my husband entitled to this coverage by law? If his previous employer will not give him the COBRA information what are our next steps? My husband is getting an unfair disadvantage and I believe he should be entitled by law to receive COBRA coverage!
