Q: My husband was on disability and then was laid off back in May, he was covered by his group insurance through the end of May. He was mailed the Cobra information and filled out the necessary paperwork and sent it back. He never received insurance as his employer said they were in the middle of changing providers/plan. They have given him the run around ever since, just a couple days ago said they signed him up for the wrong plan. He has already paid $175 out of pocket for one appointment and has another one tomorrow. He is on important medication that costs over $800 a month and nobody is seeing that he is getting the coverage he needs. Is there anything we can do about this?
