Moda Health

Moda Health, formerly ODS Health, is a Portland, Oregon-based health insurer. It offers individual and family medical plans in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Texas, and dental plans in Alaska and Oregon. The company previously sold plans in Washington but exited that market for the 2016 plan year. The Trail Blazers’ home arena is the Moda Center, and Moda Tower in downtown Portland carries the company’s name. As of 2025, Moda Tower is a 24-story building and the city’s 17th-tallest.

  • AM Best (financial strength): AM Best withdrew the credit ratings of Moda Health Plan, Inc. and Oregon Dental Service on March 15, 2024. Prior to withdrawal, Moda Health Plan, Inc. held a Financial Strength Rating of B (Fair) with a “bb+” Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating as of July 28, 2023.
